The author of life: Peter's phrase is devastating. You killed the author of life. The one who wrote the story of existence, you deleted. But God pressed undo. The author of life cannot be killed permanently. His story always continues.
-
Touch me and see / he ate fish: The bodily resurrection is Christianity's most physical claim. Preach against Gnosticism (the body doesn't matter) and against reductionism (the resurrection is just a metaphor). Jesus has a body. He eats. He has scars.
-
You are witnesses: Jesus' last words in today's Gospel are a commission. Not you are students. Not you are believers. You are witnesses. A witness tells what they've seen. The neophytes - baptized days ago - are witnesses. The whole parish is.
